Hello there,

My name is Peyton Schultze and I am the creator and head writer of The Golden Angeleno.

As of May of 2021, I have graduated from the University of South Florida (Magna Cum Laude) as a third-year student in the Zimmerman School of Mass Communications and am currently attending the University of Southern California as a graduate student at the Annenberg School of Communications and Journalism.

While at USF, my major was mass communications with an emphasis in program and production, and I am looking at becoming involved in advertising or tourism communications in the future as a career, especially when it comes to topics such as lifestyle, food, entertainment, and sports. At USC, my major is Public Relations and Advertising, and I am very excited to learn about the industry at hand from a creative standpoint. I believe that writing is one of the biggest keys to endless creativity in the world, and I have come to truly love the entire writing process and how it can personally touch people all around the world.

With this, a lot of the content that you will see on this site will relate to the particular topics I mentioned, and I hope the original content on this site can inspire others in future endeavors. Many of the works posted on this site are columns, but I have also included several highly researched pieces. In addition, with this site, I hope that everyone will be able to enjoy a vast array of topics that are relevant to citizens and fans around the Los Angeles area, from tourism attractions to the iconic sports teams to the outstanding theme parks. I have expanded into much larger topics in the last three years, especially when it comes to the world of sports, but I hope this site will provide something unique and entertaining for everyone to see. While certain designs that I have created can also be found under “Graphics”, select articles of my own work can be found in the “Articles” tab above, as well as under “Podcasts” for a collaboration that I have touched upon in my third-year. This weekly podcast has been done with Backup Sports’ collaborators Parker Drummond and Connor Mullen, and we hoped that our show could lift everyone’s spirits in the midst of a wild year in 2020.
