Avengers: Endgame arrives in theaters on April 26th, 2019.

Following the release of the main trailer for Marvel’s 2019 film, Captain Marvel, last week, Disney and Marvel released another trailer for the other highly anticipated Marvel Studios film coming in 2019: Avengers: Endgame. After months of anticipation for fans to have a sneak peek at the first shots of the next installment of the Avengers franchise, the trailer for Avengers: Endgame arrived on Friday, much to the happiness of Marvel fans worldwide. After the events of Avengers: Infinity War involving the main villain, Thanos, wiping out half of living creatures throughout the galaxy, the next film will have the surviving Avengers attempting to once again save the universe and potentially save the fallen heroes and humans, taken out by Thanos, with the help of heroes such as Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and the Hulk. Without further ado, here is the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame, coming to theaters in April of 2019.

With this first look at this captivating and potentially thrilling chapter of the Avengers saga, there are several takeaways that should impact the overall complexity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For one, Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) seems to make a return in the film, this time under the identity of Ronin, an alter ego version of himself from the comics. After being absent for the entirety of Infinity War after being placed upon house arrest with his family, Barton figures to have a major role in Endgame to overturn the events of the following film. Another key takeaway from the trailer are the current whereabouts of Tony Stark (aka Iron Man). After basically being left for dead by almost dying at the hands of Thanos in Infinity War, Stark was last seen being left on the galactic planet of Titan, along with Nebula, a daughter of Thanos who also seeks her revenge on the Mad Titan. In the trailer, Stark seems to have lost almost all hope of rescue and is drifting in space and almost about to run out of oxygen in the coming days. Trying to possibly communicate with someone back on Earth such as his love, Pepper Potts, through the use of his Iron Man technology, Stark is seen in the trailer as hopeless and in need of a savior or a miracle. Heavily featured in the trailer are Avengers such as Black Widow and Captain America. After not having a gigantic role in Infinity War on par with heroes such as Thor and Iron Man, Black Widow and Captain America figure to have a much bigger role within Endgame to help defeat Thanos and shift the fate of the universe. One last key feature from the trailer: after the heroes have mourned the fallen heroes and their past failure, a shocking revelation arrives at Avengers headquarters. Scott Lang (aka Ant-Man), someone who was believed to have been snapped away after the events of Infinity War, shows up at the Avengers HQ at the end of the trailer. Black Widow and Captain America are shocked by Lang’s arrival, whether it was in the past or present, and his arrival gives a little bit of hope to an otherwise gloomy trailer. Ant-Man was trapped within the Quantum Realm when Thanos snapped away half of the universe with The Decimation, so the trailer provides major questions to how he escaped the Quantum Realm and the Realm’s role within the next film.

The role of characters such as Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, are major questions marks in the next and potentially last Avengers film.

Until then, the hype and the surrounding questions about the film will begin to snowball with every trailer and piece of promotional artwork that is released. The next installment of the Avengers saga will reveal the destiny of the Avengers and heroes such as Iron Man and Captain America, and fans all over the world can not wait.
